Cabinet

A powerful feature of Master Chef is the Cabinet. A cabinet (or pantry) is the place where you hold your ingredients. Although physically you can have more than one place (aka location) where you hold your ingredients (e.g. fridge, freezer, cupboard, liquor cabinet, etc), Master Chef merges all these locations and keeps them all in just one single, generic place, called the Cabinet.

You can then add or remove ingredients to and from the cabinet to reflect what you actually have available in your bar, restaurant or even at home. It is important that you keep the Master Chef Cabinet up-to-date, as it will help you recognize at a glance what ingredients are missing and what recipes you can do with the available ingredients. If you have a long list of ingredients in the Cabinet, you can filter out those ingredients you use for just for meals, drinks or both. The Cabinet works hand-in-hand with the Inventory.

If you notice that you have a lot of recipes with only one ingredient missing, it would be a good idea to launch the Shopping List Wizard so that it will create a shopping list with a few ingredients with which you can make more recipes.

Alternatively, if you would like to know what recipes you can make with the ingredients you have in your cabinet, launch the Onhand Ingredients Wizard.
